Prototype: 183 001 series electric locomotive of Arriva. Wheel arrangement: Bo’Bo’. Version with special design to commemorate the "175th anniversary of German Railways". Service: For alex trains on the route between Regensburg and Munich. AC model is finely detailed and intricately printed with 2 pantographs, triple headlights and 2 red rear end lights. LED lighting. Taurus with special 175 years of German railways paint In honour of the "175 years of German railways" anniversary, the Vogtland railway is sending a Taurus in special paint on the route between Munich and Regensburg. The paint of the ES64U4 E-locomotive of Siemens is based on the historical Adler, the first steam locomotive in Germany. Huge wheel applications, wood panelling and rivets bedeck the sides of the Taurus. The "175 years of German railway" imprint and the logos of Roco and Arriva, the parent company of the Vogtland railway, aren't to be missed. The logos and the historic style elements are stuck with printed foil onto the locomotive. One of the most modern locomotive of the 21st century is, with its historic livery, an ambassador for "175 years of German railway". George and Robert Stephenson would have loved it. The creation and artistic implementation of the anniversary locomotive was penned by the renowned designer Gudrun Geiblinger. In the past the designer has created the Mozart and 50 years of Federal Armed Forces of the OBB themed locomotives as well as a locomotive last summer for the 200th anniversary of the death of the Austria composer Joseph Haydn. Since 25 June 2010 the Taurus has been operating in regular service with its special paint. The Vogtland railway uses the anniversary locomotive for the 'alex': the abbreviation stands for Arriva Landerbahn Express. The prototypical H0 model by Roco will be in stores in December. The model is not just a piece of railway history added to your model collection at home, but also a worthy memorial for the Adler and the Taurus.
